Kelly first stepped foot onto a yoga mat – and into downward facing dog – on holidays as a teenager. In that fresh topical air, she felt the practice start to work its magic on her mind and body.
An off-and-on practitioner for years, she returned to yoga in her early 20s as a way to reconnect with her body and do something good for her health after working in a high-stress corporate role and burning the candle at both ends. Very quickly, Kelly learnt that a yoga practice was for more than just asana for her physical body; it supported her mental wellbeing, unravelling decades-old perfectionist tendencies and stopped her shifting the blame solely onto the stars and being a triple-fire sign.
Keen to deepen her practice and learn more about yoga's philosophies, Kelly completed her 200hr vinyasa yoga teacher training in 2020. Kelly wants all her students – from complete beginners to experienced practitioners – to leave feeling better than they walked in. She combines thoughtful, kramic (step-by-step) sequencing and a playful approach to guide students through a practice that safely challenges and supports them. Above all, she aims to make her classes enjoyable and respectful of yoga's philosophies and Indian heritage.
